Today was rather odd for me. I got off my ass and spent two hours getting ready for nothing because I was just that bored. Then, ironically, just after I finished Chelsea called me to hang out at the coffee shop. I love that place. I ordered the largest fucking cup of mocha I’ve ever seen and drank the whole thing (which not even most people would probably do). I’m pretty sure Chris, that Hottie McHotterson I’m so in love with who works there, mixed a shot of espresso in there as well. According to Chelsea, he tends to mess with people’s drinks and now I’m sure I’ll never sleep again. I should be doing homework right now, but I’m so far gone I can’t even think straight long enough to do it. I’m debating on skipping class altogether tomorrow, anyway.

In other news, for a two years anniversary dealio, I’ve decided to give this blog an upgrade by turning it into an actual website. So, I’ll be setting that up over the next few days. I’ll post the link on here in due time.

Anyway, I’m off to calm myself before my head falls off.

If all goes according to plan, I might actually have a sort-of date on Valentines Day with Amber. In all the years it’s been since I first started dating, I’ve never actually done something on that particular holiday. I’m a little weirded out by it, actually, because you think I would have by now at least once. Here’s to hoping things don’t fall through!

I need a job and bad. The best part is no one is willing to cut me some slack about it either by helping me out just a tad. For starters, I’m only allowed to get a job that’s within walking distance from my house or at my school in between the times I have classes. That, right there, kills about 90% of the opportunities I have. The town I live in really isn’t that big to begin with and to say I can’t look for a job across town or in another town that’s extremely close to ours is retarded. I’m also only allowed to work shifts that are convenient for my mother and Tim, because they don’t want me walking into the house at so-and-so hour, disrupting their wonderful life.Why is it that everything in my life always has to be what she wants?

So basically, what I need is a non-retail position that is within walking distance, gives me a shift during the day that takes place in between my classes, and will actually not just fire me after 30 days for having less-than-perfect motor skills.

This makes looking for needles in haystacks look easy.

Feeling awful is no walk in the park, but more like a heavy run with Michael Meyers on your heels

I’ve been out of commission for the past few days for obvious reasons, spending my days (ones that I’m not forcing myself out of bed to go to class) watching marathons of Boy Meets World, Unfortunately so, as funny as the show may be, it does not take away from the fact that I feel like I’m dying. I agreed to hang out with Kendra yesterday and today, but I may just have to put it off again which is something I’d really hate to do, but I don’t feel as if things are going to get any better within the next hour or so. =( Ugh…

A few weeks ago I started talking to this girl named Amber off and on and I found out I’m really starting to like her. Because the whole thing is so up in the air, however, I don’t quite know what to make of how she feels about me–if she feels anything at all, that is. On my end, I do know I’d like to become closer with her, at least at a friend level. I certainly wouldn’t mind becoming more than that though. This whole thing is just a new experience, because there really isn’t that many openly lesbian/bisexual women in my town, especially ones that I happen to be this attracted to. If she doesn’t feel the same way, I guess oh well, but until I figure out exactly what’s going on I suppose I’ll just linger in limbo for a little while and hope for the best.

Besides not exactly knowing what she wants from me, I’m personally a bit hesitant due to one factor: my history with women hasn’t been the most successful in the world. More often than not, the girl freaks after I start to get too close, claiming she’s always been straight, and that I’m surely stupid for thinking otherwise. I’d take almost anything over that happening again. If she were to come out and say she just wanted me for a booty call, I’d prefer that over going through the all-too-familiar aggravation of her telling me she “changed her mind” about her sexuality. Sexual preferences aren’t light switches. Either you do or don’t and I’m not the type of person to sit around and wait for you to figure what team you’re on.

And that’s why I’m afraid.

Technically I didn’t even know him for a whole day, but it was that guy Chris that I met and talked to for a bit at the coffee shop that one day. He’s honestly one of the most genuine guys I’ve ever met and you don’t–or at least I don’t–usually come across too many great-looking guys who are really that nice for no reason. Not even half-decent guys are usually as nice without something going on, but that’s just the stereotype talking. He’s literally as close to “the man of my dreams” as I’m gonna get and I found him, surprisingly, hanging around my town and friends with one of my best friends. Never thought I’d see that coming, but holy shit! Obviously someone else snagged Mr. Too-Good-To-Be-True, so I guess I’ll have to settle with just being friends with the guy. Which I’d be perfectly fine with if I could only say something that didn’t sound so much like “Uhhhh!” or “Ummm!” or “Err!” or “Y-Yeah?!”

My little cousin Haley, I think, and it was nothing real big. She had me pinky promise her to not eat the last cookie one Christmas Eve because she wanted to eat it instead.
